Position : Junior Sous Chef – Pan Asian Cuisine,

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pan Asian Junior Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations and ensure high-quality preparation of Asian cuisine including Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and other Pan Asian dishes. The candidate should maintain food quality, hygiene standards, and assist in kitchen team management.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations
2. Prepare and cook Pan Asian dishes as per standard recipes
3. Handle wok cooking, sauces, sushi basics, dim sum, grills, and Asian plating techniques
4. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
5. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts
6. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards as per HACCP guidelines
7. Monitor food stock, storage, and kitchen inventory
8. Reduce wastage and control food cost
9. Coordinate with service team for smooth kitchen operations
10. Train and guide Commis chefs and kitchen helpers
11. Ensure timely preparation during busy service hours

Required Skills :
* Strong knowledge of Pan Asian cuisine
* Expertise in Chinese, Thai, Japanese, or Oriental cooking
* Wok handling and sauce preparation skills
* Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
* Leadership and team handling ability
* Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced operations
Qualification :
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Pan Asian kitchen
- Experience in restaurants, lounges, hotels, or fine dining preferred

8. Coordinate with service team for smooth operations
9. Support menu development and new dish trials
Skills Required :
1. Strong knowledge of Pan Asian cuisine
2. Good knife skills and plating techniques
3. Knowledge of sauces, marinades, stocks, and Asian spices
4. Ability to handle high-volume operations
5. Leadership and team management skills
6. Basic inventory and food cost knowledge
Preferred Qualifications :
* Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts
