Role & responsibilities
Guest Room Maintenance
Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily according to hotel standards (e.g., 15-30 minutes per room depending on size).
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities (soap, shampoo, tissues, coffee supplies).
Dust, polish, and vacuum furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms including showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors, and toilets.
Empty trash containers and remove soiled linen to designated areas.
Public Area & Back-of-House Support
Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, stairwells, and lobby as assigned.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces in public areas.
Assist with deep cleaning tasks (carpet shampooing, upholstery cleaning, mattress flipping) on a rotational basis.
Guest Service & Communication
Respond promptly to guest requests (extra pillows, towels, hair dryer) and report to supervisor.
Report any maintenance issues (leaky faucets, broken lamps, HVAC problems) immediately.
Report lost and found items following hotel security procedures.
Knock and announce presence before entering guest rooms; respect "Do Not Disturb" signs.
Inventory & Equipment Care
Manage housekeeping cart, ensuring it is stocked, organized, and cleaned daily.
Report low inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, or amenities to supervisor.
Use and store cleaning chemicals properly according to safety labels (e.g., no mixing bleach with ammonia).
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to key control policies (never leaving master keys unattended).
Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel security procedures.
1. Housekeeping Experience in Hotels will be preferred.
